We love finding out about really rare, odd and unusual things for sale around the world and then sharing those listings (whether they're on Ebay, Facebook Marketplace, Etsy or elsewhere) with our audience.  RareEtc.com isn't a marketplace or broker.  We simply find out about these unique items for sale and then write about them.

 

If you're on the lookout for something incredible to buy – maybe for your home, man cave, garden or business, we're pretty sure you'll find something you like here.  Whether you can afford it and transport iback to wherever you are, well that's a whole different matter but all part of the fun we're sure you'll agree.

If you want to know what's of interest to us, well that's a little bit complicated but to get an idea, scroll through some of the listings on the site and consider the name of the website Rare Etc.  Rare tends to be the common denominator of the items on this site however it doesn't have to be something completely and utterly unique.  It might be part of a very limited production run or something which we've yet to even comprehend. 

 

A short list of things we like:  large dinosaur fossils (e.g. a whole dinosaur or skull of), massive sculptures (think of the 60ft Eiffel Tower), really amazing film props, crazy unique vehicles (e.g. a collection of cars from the Mad Max films or the Batmobile), a 4000lb bronze elephant, a muffler man (roadside Americana), an original Soviet Spacesuit, a full size pirate ship….Hopefully you get the idea 🙂
